Grading Examination — June 2026: Registration Now Open

The next Shotokan World grading examination is scheduled for Saturday 28 June 2026 at the main dojo, beginning at 09:00. **Eligibility** All members who have trained for the minimum required period since their last grading are eligible. As a general guide: - 9th–7th kyu: minimum 3 months since last grading - 6th–4th kyu: minimum 4 months - 3rd–1st kyu: minimum 6 months - 1st–2nd dan: minimum 12 months and Sensei's recommendation required Sensei Tanaka will make the final determination on eligibility for all candidates. **How to Register** Log in to the member portal and navigate to Events → Gradings → June 2026. Complete the registration form and confirm your current grade. The grading fee must be paid online at the time of registration. The registration deadline is Saturday 14 June. **What to Prepare** Candidates should ensure they are confident in all kihon, kata, and kumite requirements for their target grade. The full grading syllabus is available in the member portal resource library. Sensei will hold two dedicated preparation sessions on 14 and 21 June — attendance is strongly recommended.
